One top, Two ways: Part One

I love how you have an idea of what looks good on you and you stick to it. You swear by it! Be it colours ,a certain silhouette or cut, fabric, etc.Equally there are just some things that you won’t wear for me it always was the colour red, wide leg pants, denim skirts and polo necks and as you have seen, some of  these rules firm rules of mine have fallen magnificently . The next one to fall is the hard polo neck rule.

I bought this short sleeve polo neck from Fashion Express. I loved the colour and thought, why not give this number a go, at R80 , I was definitely not burning a hole in my budget. The short sleeve Polo Neck is a versatile and very trendy item at the moment. It can be dressed up or down and is modest yet sexy at the same time. I loved the bust enhancing effect of the polo neck and the fact that I did not feel like I was choking when I wore this.

It’s amazing how your perception of your body can change by wearing a new style and experimenting with your look. I loved how by silhouette changed when I put on this top! I will definitely be adding to my polo neck collection soon.

For this look I wanted to create a relaxed summer feel. I paired my top with a vintage 1980’s skirt, which has a lovely tropical print in vibrant colours, perfectly in touch with this summers focus on palm prints and bright colours. I paired it with a great  pair of black lace- ups  from Mr Price Clothing . To finish it off , I wore my boyfriend’s  Ray Ban’s with it. we shot this outfit in the lovely Bo-Kaap.

I hope you enjoy it!
